"My name is Rodin. I graduated with a B.S. in Human Biology from University of California, San Diego and with a master's in public health from California State University-Northridge. My highest math course that I've taken was calculus 3. Though my majors didn't heavily focus on mathematics, I've always had a love for it.

Growing up, I always excelled in math and it always came easy to me. It's useful everywhere without you even realizing it and it's important to have a good understanding of it and its concepts. My intention is to make math more exciting and fun for the student and to try to help them find different strategies so they can feel more confident in approaching it. I understand that it can be intimidating at first, but with good practice it is very much able to be done.

I tutored math as a drop-in tutor in community college in the math/science center. My method to tutor is to allow the student to try to figure out the problem on their own and I help guide them along the way when they get stuck. I'm very patient and will work with you till you understand the concept completely. Even though my last time I tutored math was 10 years ago, I still have the knowledge and patience to help out right now. Especially with these uncertain times, there is more demand for virtual learning and for teachers. The more tutors, the better.
