"I am currently an undergraduate student at Florida International University majoring in Nutrition, which is part of a STEM-based program that involves strong math and problem-solving skills. I use math regularly in my coursework and have completed multiple math classes, including algebra-based courses, which has given me a strong foundation in understanding and explaining math concepts clearly. Since I learned many of these topics not too long ago, I understand what can make them confusing and how to explain them in ways that are easier to understand.

I have experience helping my younger siblings and classmates with math, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra, fractions, decimals, and word problems. When I tutor, I focus on breaking problems down step by step and checking for understanding along the way so students do not feel rushed or overwhelmed. I also like to help students create simple, organized notes and provide practice problems they can work on independently to help reinforce what they learn during our sessions.

I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gaining confidence in their abilities.
