"Hello, I'm Jon. I have a B.S. in Mathematics from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. I graduated with high honors. I used to run a basic skills computer lab at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. In addition to that, I also did quite a bit of math tutoring up through Calculus for the tutoring center there. I would occasionally do TI calculator workshops there too. I tutored for Sylvan Learning in Littleton for a time as well. Off and on I have also tutored students privately in math over the years. The math subjects I regularly tutor include Prealgebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. In addition to SAT and ACT Math prep, I have experience with prep for the IBEW and TSI. I'm also available to assist homeschool families who need math support for their curriculum.

I love mathematics and am happy when I am able to help someone learn the material. It is very satisfying to me to know that I've made a difference. I believe my enthusiasm with the material will rub off on to the student.

I believe one advantage I have over other tutors is I'm able to greatly simplify the steps for solving a problem. I also make it a point to show all the steps and not short cut the solution.
