"I have experience working with students from elementary level up to high school level. I have enjoyed working as a tutor through a tutoring company, Mathnasium, for over 8 years. Through tutoring, I have discovered that I wanted to pursue a career in teaching at the middle school level. And so substituting is how I started my career.

I started in 2019 as a long-term teacher in Long Branch Middle School, transitioning to Long Branch High School, and moving back to middle school when I transferred to McAuliffe Middle School in Jackson. After about two years at McAuliffe, there was an opening that I applied for and was immediately recommended for the position. I was at McAuliffe as a full-time teacher for a year and then decided to explore other teaching opportunities where there's more room for growth and to challenge myself as a teacher.

This year is my first year working as 6th grade Bilingual Mathematics Teacher teaching in both English and Spanish.

With the experience I have working with students of diverse academic and ethnic backgrounds, I have developed the communications skills and patience to work with any student of any academic background whether it's a struggling student or to work on enrichment." less...
