"Hi! I’m Oishee! I’m a rising sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Materials Science & Engineering and minoring in Economics. I’ve been tutoring for the past two years, and I’ve worked with students ranging from middle schoolers building math foundations to high schoolers studying for the SAT or struggling with chemistry and physics. I’ve also taught in a range of other roles, as a fencing coach, summer camp instructor, and classical dance teacher, which has helped me develop an adaptable, student-centered teaching style.

As a tutor, I always start by getting a sense of how each student learns best. Whether they need visuals, step-by-step breakdowns, or just someone to talk through a concept with patiently. I’ve helped students pull grades up dramatically, pass final exams after struggling all year, and even prep for competitions. One of my proudest moments was helping a special education student relearn an entire year of math in a month to avoid summer school. We built trust, we worked hard, and we got there.
