"Hi! I'm Meg, a masters prepared registered nurse and National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) with over 25 years of teaching experience. I started in the healthcare field in 1987 as an EMT then became a paramedic and ACLS instructor. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2007 and began my career in a level-one trauma/emergency department where I also earned my TNCC and triage certifications. I have 17 years experience in emergency nursing, corrections, critical care, med-surg, the operating room and vascular access.

I earned a masters degree in nursing education in 2017 and have taught RN students in clinical, online and classroom settings. In the classroom there isn't a nursing subject I don't love... fundamentals, adult med-surg, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, rhythm interpretation and dosage calculations. Dosage calculations are the source of anxiety for many students, I will help you conquer this with patient coaching and the use of a trusted calculation method. I have also worked extensively in the ATI platform and have helped students prep for NCLEX and ATI tests. I guide students by asking questions which draw on previous knowledge to understand new concepts. This creates the foundation for strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills which I include in every subject I tutor. As a non-traditional student, I understand the unique needs of students who must work, have children and responsibilities outside of school. I want you to know that you can do this. I have many study and time management tips I will share with you if you need guidance.
