"I have always had a passion for writing, receiving excellent feedback on my writing skills and abilities, while obtaining strong A's in all my writing courses throughout my college career. Such abilities qualified me to be a writing tutor through Southern Methodist University, an esteemed educational institution, where I am consistently told by my tutees that they receive top marks following our sessions. A few compositions I have tutored in are argumentative/expository essays, critical/rhetorical analyses, and research papers.

As a current student (junior/third-year) and writing tutor, I understand and witness firsthand the challenges students face across all levels, from introductory classes to rigorous honors courses. For some, reaching out for help is intimidating, but knowing that the tutor can form a personal, emotional connection with the tutee helps make the process that much easier.

For many, writing can feel like a chore, and my goal is to make it exciting or, at the very least, manageable. An essay, especially one of great length, can be quite daunting, with so many students not knowing where to start, and I make it a priority to ease stress levels by taking a step back and looking at the process with a lighter perspective. Each writer has a unique voice that deserves to be heard, but many just need a little help to articulate such ideas. With this being said, I thrive in building confidence in writers so that they can express themselves through clarity and flair. By breaking down the process, I prioritize a patient, positive approach that empowers each student.
