"Hi, I'm Kaitlyn! I'm currently a 3rd year Pediatrics resident physician, graduate of Mount Sinai medical school with a dual MD and Master's degree and Columbia University with a 4.0 GPA. I’m committed to helping students navigate the challenges of the admissions process, whether it be for competitive NYC high schools, top colleges or elite graduate schools. In particular, I work with aspiring doctors and help make their dream of becoming a physician a reality. I have unique insight into med school admissions as I was a member of the Mount Sinai admissions committee, reviewing hundreds of personal statements and conducting interviews.

At Columbia, I served as a chemistry TA and lead tutor at our Academic Resource Center, where I won 2 tutoring awards for development of our tutoring resources and for having the highest student review ratings. I’ve tutored and TA'ed for over a decade and create personalized lesson plans that highlight and maximize student strengths.

As a Columbia chemistry TA, I both taught lab sections and held open office hours. I helped students navigate the premed curriculum and tutored all the premed subjects: math, biology, physics and chemistry. I was certified as a College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) Level II tutor and trained other tutors.

In addition to the premed curriculum, I’ve tutored test prep including SAT, ACT, SSAT, SHSAT, ISEE, GRE, GMAT and numerous other tests with students ranging from elementary school to graduate school. I’ve worked with students in the most competitive prep schools in NYC and understand the impact standardized tests have on admissions decisions. I always create a personalized study schedule that includes homework and tailored practice tests to help students attain top scores.

I'm available for one-on-one tutoring in NYC and for online tutoring. I'm happy to work with students on med school and college admissions, school subjects and test prep.
