"I am going into my senior year of undergraduate school at the Pennsylvania State University studying for both a Bachelor of Science in Labor and Human Resources as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English. Throughout my life, I have spent notable time teaching others skills I have acquired and have enjoyed this experience greatly. I would like to teach skills regarding the English language, such as grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and reading, as well as musical skills like how to play the guitar and trumpet and even how to read music.

During my time in high school I was a part of the marching band. I was the section leader for the trumpets which meant it was my responsibility to teach all the music for our marching show, how to fine tune the physical aspects of performing, and how to excel as an instrumentalist. I did this for two years and found extreme success through building a safe environment where my peers were able to ask for guidance and feel comfortable doing so.

When I started college, I worked at a nearby elementary school as a paraprofessional when I had availability. I instructed small groups of students and worked with collaboratively with teachers to ensure a well-run classroom. At Penn State, I work as an intern for our career services. I conduct mock interviews and resume reviews to teach my peers how to prepare for their job search. I teach them tips and tricks in order to set them up for success.
