"Hi,

I’m a very patient and inspiring tutor. I’ve assisted people from grade school through graduate school reach their academic goals – whether these were to improve standardized test performance, to master new material or to build solid math and English foundation knowledge.

I’m committed to my students and fight for them to succeed. I have a dedicated following at the tutoring center where I work, and now I’m branching out on my own. I have excellent resources – even for the New SAT, provide individualized programs, and continuously track learning.

I know the earlier students can merge fundamental knowledge with critical thinking and advanced problem solving, the easier their academic path will be.

I enjoy working with people of all abilities. In addition to working with the typical student population, I have success teaching LD, GT, GT/LD and ESOL students.

I have a PhD from the University of Chicago in Statistics and Economics, an MBA from Cornell University, and a BS in Engineering from Cornell University. I’ve earned teaching awards from my MBA students and received Montgomery County Public School's “Parent of the Year” award for my contributions to the learning disabled student population.

I’ve taught at the University of Chicago, Cornell University and DePaul University. I’m one class away from being a certified Maryland High School Math teacher.

One of reasons I’m effective as a teacher is that I have overcome significant learning challenges. I have significant learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia and ADHD). I needed to figure out new ways of looking at the material presented in school because the explanations in class didn’t make sense to me. Besides having learning difficulties myself, I’m the parent of a twice exception child (GT and LD).

If you are the parent of a child with special needs, you’ll be thrilled with your child’s accomplishments.

If you are a student and you want extra help with a subject, contact me. Your entire outlook will change" less...
