"I'm a published author and writing professor. For over a decade I've helped students apply to health careers such medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, and physician's assistant. I've helped hundreds of students get into top schools including Stanford, Mayo, and Harvard Med. I also regularly assist medical, dental, and other graduate students with their residency personal statements, ERAS forms, and fellowship applications.

I have a background in the sciences and an MFA in fiction from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where I was an Arts Fellow. My fiction has won several awards, and I’ve been a Fellow at MacDowell, Yaddo, and other artist residencies. I’ve also won numerous teaching awards, including commendations from my University’s Center for Teaching and Career Center.

I specialize in narrative, and I love helping applicants find the best way to tell their stories. Top applicants generally all have excellent grades, test scores, and experiences.
