"Hi! I'm Alex and I recently graduated from Ohio State University with a Ph.D. in English with a focus on film. I also have a Master's in English from Lehigh University and a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Connecticut. These three degrees speak to my ability to write clear and compelling essays in a variety of formats as well as read a variety of types of texts from traditional literature through comics, films, and online media.

I have tutored at the college and high school levels throughout my career as well, both at the above institutions and at local colleges and high schools. I am flexible and willing to work with students to develop the skills they need to succeed in reading and writing.

I can help students at every step of the writing process, from brainstorming to outlining to drafting to proofreading and formatting. Similarly, I can help students ideate and execute projects and presentations as they develop their skills in that area for future use.
