"I am a Ph.D.-trained clinical pharmacologist with over a decade of experience in academia, pharmaceutical research, and teaching. My expertise spans pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and biology, and I have contributed to numerous clinical development programs in major pharmaceutical companies. Currently, I work as an Associate Director at Amgen, focusing on rare disease drug development, but I am equally passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of students in life sciences.
My teaching journey began in India, where I worked as a lecturer and lab coordinator for undergraduate and graduate pharmacy students, teaching subjects like pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics, and drug delivery systems. In the U.S., I have taught and mentored students at the graduate level during my time at West Virginia University and the University of Minnesota, guiding research projects and modeling work. I have also volunteered in outreach programs for middle and high school students, helping simplify complex scientific ideas through engaging, age-appropriate methods.
My approach to tutoring is adaptive and student-centered. Whether I am working with a middle schooler exploring biology for the first time or a Pharm.D. student preparing for board exams, I tailor each session to meet their specific goals and learning style. I aim to build a strong conceptual foundation, encourage critical thinking, and connect textbook knowledge to real-world applications. I enjoy breaking down difficult topics in a way that builds confidence and curiosity in my students." less...
