"Hi! I'm Dr. Seni, and over my 15-year career, I've helped hundreds of students transform from "I can't do math" to "I actually understand this!" Whether it's a middle schooler struggling with algebra, a high schooler preparing for AP Stats or ACT Math, or a college student tackling calculus or statistics, I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into clear steps that build genuine understanding and confidence. My approach focuses on meeting students where they are, identifying their specific challenges—foundational gaps, test anxiety, or learning differences—and providing strategies that turn weaknesses into strengths. I use authentic contexts to make math meaningful and adapt to each student's unique learning style.
I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Central Michigan University and a Master's degree in Statistics. I taught for 6.5 years at Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, a residential STEM school where I taught Statistics with R Programming, Calculus, Modern Algebra, and Mathematics of Finance to gifted high school students. Currently, I tutor students from a 5th grader working through Beast Academy's advanced curriculum to college students mastering College Algebra, reflecting my ability to adapt to learners at every level. Throughout my career, I've worked one-on-one with students ages 11 through college in individual sessions, small groups, and test prep programs. I've tutored Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, and standardized tests including ACT, SAT, and AP Stats.
What I love most is seeing that "lightbulb moment" when concepts click. I don't believe in "math people" versus "non-math people." Every student can master mathematics with the right support. My students have improved test scores, overcome math anxiety, and developed confidence. Whether you're catching up, getting ahead, preparing for exams, or understanding homework better, I'm here to help with patience, expertise, and proven strategies. Let's make math make sense!" less...
