"Hi, my name is Vusumuzi H., and I am a medicinal chemist and pharmaceutical scientist. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo, as well as Master’s degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

I have completed over 300 hours of verified tutoring on Wyzant, specializing in Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biology, and Pharmacology. My approach combines real-world pharmaceutical science experience with step-by-step strategies that help students build confidence and master complex STEM topics.

During my graduate studies at the University at Buffalo, I served as a Teaching Assistant in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. I tutor students at the middle school, high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels, covering subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, and English Language.

Chemistry has always been a passion of mine, as I am a visual learner who enjoys the challenges science presents. Teaching is also a true calling for me—it is a privilege to help students reach their full academic potential. My background in both professional sports and academics has instilled in me the values of discipline, dedication, and perseverance, which I strive to pass on to my students.
