"As a Ph.D. student in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a 4.0 GPA from Georgia Tech and internships at top aerospace companies including Blue Origin, Northrop Grumman, and Ball Aerospace, I bring a unique approach to tutoring. My focus areas are mathematics, physics, and engineering. What sets me apart is not just technical expertise but my ability to make complex concepts accessible, especially for younger students or those struggling to understand the material. I often share with students that I taught myself differential equations from a textbook and tested out of the course. This experience strengthened my ability to learn independently and now helps me teach students how to build their own effective learning strategies.
My teaching experience began as a Teaching Assistant for college level multivariable calculus and differential equations at Georgia Tech during my 2nd and 3rd year of college, where I led weekly recitations, administered and graded quizzes, held office hours, and ran personalized review sessions for over multiple sections. My approach combines patient, step-by-step instruction with an emphasis on problem-solving and critical thinking, helping students build both competence and confidence. I also like to find learning shortcuts that make concepts easier to apply under test-taking scenarios. I value structure, organization, and clear communication during tutoring and setting up a schedule. For students in a high school or college class, I find that having a copy of the class syllabus and/or PDF of the textbook makes tutoring much more successful.
Beyond the classroom, I’ve taught students in woodworking and led peer mentoring programs through national organizations. I genuinely enjoy teaching, plan to become a professor after my PhD, and I take pride in helping students get through their classes!" less...
