"I am a Ph.D.-level chemistry tutor with over a decade of experience helping students build confidence, master challenging concepts, and develop strong problem-solving skills. I make chemistry engaging through patience, humor, and a structured, results-driven approach.

I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the UC San Diego/San Diego State University Joint Doctoral Program. During graduate school, I taught General and Organic Chemistry labs and mentored undergraduate researchers. My students have gone on to programs such as UPenn and the Instituto Catalan de Investigacion Quimica (ICIQ) in Spain. My favorite part of grad school was seeing mentees become independent, confident scientists. I now help tutoring clients in the same way—by fostering deep understanding, critical thinking, and self-reliance.

I work with high school, college, and graduate students. For high school I cover AP and IB Chemistry. At the college level I specialize in General, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry (including organometallics). I also provide MCAT Chemistry prep (General, Organic, Biochemistry).

I tailor my approach to each student’s needs. For exam prep, I break concepts down step by step and teach problem-solving strategies. For deeper learning, I reinforce fundamentals and connect topics. I also support students with test anxiety, helping them build confidence and perform under pressure. Sessions are customized to your course.

Cancellation Policy

Please provide 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Missed sessions or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full fee.
