"I am a PhD chemist who spent 20 years in industry working as a research scientist and then a manager. I always believed that students didn't like science and math because they had a bad experience in high school. I wanted to teach high school and after 20 years in industry an opportunity to earn my teaching certification came up and I jumped at it. I have been teaching high school for almost 15 years.

I have been teaching math and science for 10 years both face-to-face and online. I have also been tutoring for 10 years both face-to-face and online. I have really enjoyed the interaction with high school students and I love the moments when a student finally understands. Those aha moments are very inspiring and they make teaching worth it.

Math has always been one of my favorite subjects. Math is used in everything. It is important in life and it also effects a students ability to be successful in other classes. I took math classes in college and tutored math in college and graduate school as well.

I love science, especially chemistry. I have a Ph.D in chemistry and I love to share my passion for chemistry with my students. I love to show students that just like biology, chemistry is a practical science. It impact every aspect of our daily lives. I also like to teach Biology because it is really the science that most students connect with and there is so much that i new and interesting.
