"I hold a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis on genetics, evolution, and development from UC Berkeley, and a B.S. in Biochemistry, summa cum laude, from California State University, Fullerton. Over the course of my career, I have empowered hundreds of students to enhance their scientific skills and improve their academic performance in homework and exams. My teaching philosophy is grounded in student-centered, evidence-based practices that are informed by scientific research. I am committed to working with students to build their confidence in the material, develop effective study habits, and increase their overall productivity and performance.

I am a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and am dedicated to making STEM fields more accessible to all. I bring over 10 years of experience volunteering in science classrooms across elementary, middle, and high schools.
