"Hi everyone,

My name is Braden and I am a recent PhD graduate from Texas A&M University. A little about me: I have received my AA, General Studies from Lone Star College System, my BS in Biology from Baylor University, and my PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University. I am a firm believer that art and science exist synonymously; we cannot advance one without the other. I find interpersonal relationships with peers and colleagues to be keystone for creating art in the scientific workspace—we all have unique thoughts and colors to add to the canvas we are trying to collectively depict.

While I may be new to tutoring, I am experienced in teaching others. I have had the privilege of mentoring 10 different undergraduate researchers with 8/10 advancing to graduate school, medical school, or dental school. The other two are currently working in STEM related industry or government positions. Additionally, I was a microbiology teaching assistant for undergraduate level microbiology at Texas A&M for ~10 semesters and an undergraduate immunology teaching assistant for 3 semesters.

My research at Texas A&M was geared around urinary tract infections, nutritional immunity, and antibiotic resistance. I have been published as a first or co-author 4 times with the 3-4 more publications in the submission process.

I prefer to work in smaller groups so that the students can be more engaged and so the learning experience is more personalized." less...
