"Hi, I’m Alexis! I have a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, a Master’s in Biomedical Research, and a Bachelor’s in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. My passion for science and education has led me to work with students at various levels, from high school to college, helping them build confidence and a strong foundation in biology.

I have experience teaching high school biology in a classroom setting, where I use interactive notebooks, creative projects, and real-world applications to make learning engaging. I also have experience as a substitute teacher which has helped me develop adaptable teaching methods for different learning styles.

Beyond the classroom, I’ve mentored and tutored students one-on-one, tailoring my approach to their specific needs. I break down complex biological topics into clear, understandable lessons using interactive strategies, practical examples, and problem-solving techniques. My background in molecular diagnostics, laboratory research, and science communication allows me to connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, making biology both exciting and relevant.
