"Hi, I’m Sachini! I'm a fresh Ph.D. holder in Electrical and Computer Engineering, where I worked as a research assistant and a teaching assistant. I graduated with BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. For my General Certificate of Education (GCE) A-Levels (Advanced Level), I graduated with Mathematics (Combined Math and Applied Math), Physics, and Chemistry.
I have experience working with middle school students, graduate-level engineering students, to adults. Specifically, I have experience working as a teaching assistant while doing my Ph.D., where I worked with students starting from freshmen to seniors. Furthermore, while doing my bachelor’s, I was a voluntary teacher for mathematics and science for high school students. Specifically, I taught Linear Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus for about one year and worked together with students to solve math and basic science problems. Besides the subject, as a person who loves teaching and enjoys helping others by sharing my knowledge, I always helped my peers get through difficult math problems by explaining how to solve them in school. In terms of standardized tests, I have gone through SAT math and taken GRE. I have experience working with students preparing for the PERT Math test and adult students preparing for the HESI test.
In my experience, I value good teaching that raises students' goals to a high standard. I strive to be friendly and interactive, making classes interesting and enjoyable. It's important that students understand the beauty of math techniques, not just the answer. Math is fun and applicable to any place at any time when you know the fundamentals.
