"I am an Associate Professor of Athletic Training at the University of Southern Mississippi where my focus is on Sport-Related Traumatic Brain Injury Research. I am also the Director of the School of Health Professions where I assist all of our students with reaching their health career goals.

I have a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree in Athletic Training and have worked clinically throughout my academic career. My background is heavy in anatomy, physiology, medical examination/evaluation, emergency care, and rehabilitation of injuries.

I have also been a professor for Anatomy (from 24 to 300 students), and Cadaver Anatomy (both dissection and observation). I also served as a tutor for student-athletes where I focused primarily on Exercise Science, Anatomy, and Kinesiology-based courses including Biomechanics.

As a tutor and a teacher, I have several goals for my students. First and foremost, I want you to be excited about what you're learning. I try to make the information as applicable as possible to you and your goals. Second, I want you to do well and get good grades in the course. By applying the information in an enjoyable manner I often find that students are encouraged and willing to spend time studying the material and therefore the grades come more easily.

As a student, the courses that I was excited about were the ones I found the easiest and most rewarding. Therefore, if we can find something that encourages you to keep pushing in all of your courses, hopefully they can all be just as rewarding, even if in slightly different ways. I expect my students to work hard and put just as much effort into yourself as I put into you.
