My name is Malaney. I obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from RPI in 2015, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Minnesota in 2021, and completed a postdoctoral position at UCLA. I recently moved to Indianapolis where I am starting a new job as a Drug Discovery Scientist. I have extensive experience with teaching and tutoring and my goal is to always build a student's confidence and help them to gain foundational knowledge that will help them tackle more difficult problems independently! I have tutored students in various topics including high school algebra/calc, AP calculus, College level physics 1/2, chemistry, and biology. My teaching style is very interactive, meaning that I will show the student how to approach a problem first, and then guide them to build their confidence in solving problems independently. I am committed to my student's learning and success and prioritize having a few regular students so that I can focus my efforts on them without spreading myself thin. I always welcome emails/texts with questions around sessions because I value dedication and effort from students and I will always be here to do the same!
