"Hi, I'm Iordan! I'm a mathematician and data scientist, and I would be thrilled to help you with any area of math, statistics, machine learning, probability, data science, Python programming, and other related topics.

My approach is to share my enthusiasm for these subjects while figuring out the things you need in order to learn at your own pace. Patience and flexibility are key to my collaborative style. My goal to have students grasp techniques while working through examples, and improve their grades and understanding over the course of the semester.

A bit more about me. I did a PhD in mathematics, and my research involved a combination of algebraic geometry and representation theory, which are advanced subjects that grow out of linear algebra and differential equations. After that, I had an academic career teaching and doing research at different universities and institutes around the world. About five years ago, I delved into machine learning and data science, and ended up working in the roles of machine learning researcher, quantitative finance developer, and data engineer. I saw how mathematics is applied to the real world, and took my coding expertise to the next level. At the same time, I still enjoy interacting with students, which is why I'm doing tutoring in my spare time. I've also volunteered at math camps in Ghana, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
