"I hold a PhD in Political Science where my research and teaching centered on how human behavior, decision-making, and identity shape politics and society. This background required advanced training in both qualitative and quantitative methods, statistics, and theory, and it gave me years of experience translating complex concepts into clear, accessible ideas. I also scored in the top 1% on the GRE which reflects both my mastery of standardized test preparation and my ability to approach technical material with focus and strategy.
During graduate school, I taught and mentored undergraduate students in political science and psychology courses, supporting them with writing, research projects, and exam preparation. I worked with students who struggled to find their voice in academic writing, as well as with high-achieving students preparing graduate applications. I also led discussion based classes and workshops where I learned to create a balance between structure and open exploration.
Over the years, I have tutored high school students, undergraduates, and adult learners, tailoring my approach to fit individual learning styles. I have also taught my own courses at the university level. My tutoring style emphasizes both technical mastery and creative insight. I believe that real learning happens when students not only memorize formulas or definitions but also understand the deeper “why” behind the material. To build these skills, I combine structured practice with open ended questioning that encourages students to think critically and make connections across disciplines.
For standardized test prep, I help students analyze patterns, build strategies, and practice with purpose rather than relying on rote memorization. For writing and research, I provide feedback that shows students how to develop their own unique voice. I enjoy working with a wide range of learners, from high school students preparing for college entrance exams to graduate students and professionals tackling advanced research." less...
