"I graduated summa cum laude with an MA in Philosophy in 2024 with a focus on Ethics and Political Philosophy (though I am experienced in other subfields, as well). I graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Philosophy in 2020 with minors in Political Science and Classics. As an undergraduate, I received research honors in Philosophy and was inducted into the Philosophy and Political Science honors societies (Phi Sigma Tau and Pi Sigma Alpha, respectively).
My specific philosophical interests include Aristotelianism, classical liberal thinkers such as Locke and Mill, early Christian philosophy, early American political theory, and contemporary ethics and political philosophy.
Additionally, I am a professionally published creative writer with 2+ years of experience in publishing and a lifelong love of literature. I also am a published journalist.
I am a writing, research, and reading tutor with 8+ years of experience and a debate and rhetoric coach with 5+ years of experience. I love helping students of all ages understand and interpret difficult subjects and learn how to crystallize their thoughts in writing and oral communication.
My cancellation and no-show policy is as follows:
More than 24 hours before start: no cost and no fee
Less than 24 hours before start: 50% cancellation fee
No-show or cancellation with less than one hour's notice: 100% fee
I will assume a student has no-showed if they have not arrived within fifteen minutes of the agreed lesson start time.
I value my time, and odds are that if you take a slot, that is a block of time that could have gone to someone else. This is why I charge for no-shows and cancellations.
Note that rescheduling with less than 24 hours' notice constitutes a cancellation of the original session and is subject to the above policy.
***** I won't help you cheat. If I find any student is attempting to cheat, I'll immediately end the session, report them to Wyzant and their academic institution, and charge a 100% cancellation fee. *****" less...
