"Hi I'm Dr. Denise! I am a current English teacher in high school. I have a doctorate degree in education, with a specialization in special needs. I am a certified teacher and have taught in the classroom for over 30 years and I love it! I am also certified and trained in reading. I Love teaching the foundation of reading and language arts. I am a certified ESL teacher as well. My lessons are fun and engaging, and I create an environment where my students feel supported and excited to learn. We will begin where the student is and continue to build from there, building confidence every step of the way.

Reading: I can help with phonics, reading comprehension, and reading fluency. I teach the literary elements and figurative elements used in Literature and English.

Writing: I can help with spelling conventions, syntax and diction with imagery to allow your student to love writing and expand on what they already know.

ESL: I use a curriculum that you are sure to LOVE! It is fun and engaging with lots of opportunities for you to practice on your own.

My goal is to give your child the 1 on 1 attention they need to empower them to feel more confident in their skills.
