"I'm a retired physical chemistry professor looking to help students with their struggles. I've published over 200 papers, including many papers in science education; 12 books currently in print (most of them college-level textbooks); I even have a Great Course! My background in physical chemistry means I can help with chemistry, physics (low-level, at least!), and math (through calculus). Sorry, not so more...

My background in physical chemistry means I can help with chemistry, physics (low-level, at least!), and math (through calculus). Sorry, not so good in biology or biochemistry... I might be pricey, but I'm sure I'm worth it.
As a (ex-)physical chemistry professor, I know what it's like to struggle with math skills. In fact, two of my books are math review skills for science students. In our first meeting, I'll ask you about your math and calculator skills, because they're part of learning science.
I offer 30+ years of experience and have lots of positive feedback from students. Of course, not all students will be satisfied (and some of them blame the instructor, right?), but I have always tried to have a good rapport and understand that my job is to bring students up, not beat them down. I've worked with students from many top schools, like UC - Berkeley, CWRU, Tufts, UMichigan, and more, and I've even worked with some high school students on IB or AP classes.
I am in the Eastern time zone - please keep that in mind when you reach out.
NEW STUDENTS: Please note that if we make an initial appointment and you fail to show up, I will charge you for one-half hour of tutoring. Time is precious; please let's not waste yours or mine.
You may have found me by looking at reviews. I have never, and will never, solicit reviews, nor will I respond to them. I don't play those kinds of games. I'm more interested in working with you to learn content.
I hope I can help! And if not me, then someone else. (And if you're looking for a good organic tutor, check out my friends Stuart B. or Deanne N.) Good luck!" less...
