"Hi, I'm Lauren! I am a board-certified pediatrician with a passion for education. I graduated magna cum laude from Williams College where I was a Classic major while also completing my premed course work. During college, I was selected by faculty to serve as a peer writing tutor for 3 years. Since then, I have continued to enjoy acting as a proofreader/editor for friends, families, and colleagues.

As my medical career has progressed, I have increasingly focused on medical education. I recently completed my Certification in Medical Education that focused extensively on Adult Learning Theory through the University of Cincinnati. Leading a fellowship recruitment committee for 4 years as well as previously serving on a residency committee meeting means I have read hundreds of applications as well as developed rubrics for how applications and interviews are scored. These experiences equipped me with the skillsets to guide applicants through the medical school, residency, and fellowship application process from the initial application to crafting a strong and compelling personal statement to interview prep. I am also happy to assist all writers with personal statements whether applying to college, a summer research position, or other professional schools.

Students can choose whether they would like to meet virtually to brainstorm and discuss essays topics or have me review application material asynchronously and provide written feedback or a combination approach. I will return edits and suggestions within 24-48 hours that focus on not only grammar and punctuation but also style, content, and organization.
