"Hello! I am Matthew Dittrich. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel with a double major in Physics and Mathematics, as well as a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Florida. I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Florida, where my research focuses on high-energy particle physics through the CMS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. My academic background gives me both depth and breadth in physics and mathematics, and I enjoy using that foundation to help students build confidence in these subjects.

My teaching and tutoring experience spans over a decade, beginning with three years of tutoring physics and mathematics at The Citadel, where I also served as head tutor during my final year. I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students, both one-on-one and in group settings. At the graduate level, I have taught college Physics laboratories and discussion sections, creating lesson plans, designing quizzes, and providing individualized guidance. In total, I have supported over 100 students in mastering challenging concepts and strengthening their problem-solving skills.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and flexible, adapting to the unique needs of each learner. I strongly believe that the best way to understand physics and mathematics is through practice, so I emphasize working through problems together and guiding students step by step. By combining clear explanations with active problem-solving, I aim to not only improve grades but also foster deeper understanding and long-term confidence in technical subjects." less...
