I am a cardiologist with specialty in electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, and clinical cardiology. From 1986-1987 I was associated with Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. From 1987-1990 I was associated with Faulkner Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. From 1994-1997 I was associated with University of Missouri, from 1997-1998 I was associated with Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for an Interventional Cardiology fellowship. From 2000-2001 I was associated with Illinois Masonic Medical Center as a Fellow in Electrophysiology. Afterwards I entered private practice in interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.

While at Harvard Medical School I was part of a research team that published several papers in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences including "Nitric oxide circulates in mammalian plasma primarily as an S-nitroso adduct of serum albumin".
