"I graduated from Brown University this year with a degree in Biophysics. I've successfully tutored high school and college students one-on-one for the past 8 years in math (up to calculus III/multivariable calculus), physics, and SAT/ACT test preparation. I'm familiar with the AP curricula for calculus and physics (I, II, C), and my students have received 4s and 5s in these subjects.

Another component of my tutoring experience comes from editing and critiquing essays. I have volunteered as a mentor for high school students writing college application essays and know how to make a personal essay successful. I am not only a proofreader – I offer advice at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming ideas to creating outlines to polishing off the final product, and anything in between.

When I tutor, I like to emphasize building strong foundations in every subject, and I try to impart the importance of understanding the basics to all of my students. I'm also a big proponent of hands-on learning; students will be solving problems or writing paragraphs in 1-1 sessions and receiving detailed feedback as they go.
