"If you love physics/math or if you hate physics/math (especially if you hate it), welcome to my profile! My teaching career began when my little sister was born in 2002. Even very early on as a young kid in school, I found that the one thing I genuinely enjoyed more than learning physics or math (nerd alert), was teaching it to my friends. I pride myself on the ability to explain complex problems to students by breaking them down to their fundamentals and ensuring that there is no missing link between key concepts.
Both as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley and a PhD researcher at Stanford University, I have been able to refine my technique through 10 years of teaching expertise: from instructing 300 strong classes, down to tutoring 1-on-1. One thing my students can be certain of: I always go the extra mile and always take the extra hour to ensure they leave my session with a clearer understanding of the study material. For this, I was awarded the Paul H. Kirkpatrick Award for "the commitment to the teaching of physics" at Stanford.
My strengths lie in physics and math pedagogy at all education levels. I have experience with physics/math competitions and olympiads. I have mentored several young graduate students at the beginning of their research career and can guide young STEM enthusiasts through their own projects or connect them with opportunities in academia/industry. Currently a Semiconductor Engineer in industry, I am kept abreast of the current state and trends of cutting edge technology." less...
