"I graduated from The College of Charleston (CofC) with a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology and Physics and a minor in Astronomy. Through this degree I completed college-level physics, calculus, meteorology, and astronomy courses, providing a strong conceptual and quantitative foundation in the subjects I tutor.

I gained tutoring experience through the CofC Center for Student Learning (CSL), where I supported undergraduate students in introductory physics, meteorology, and astronomy on a drop-in basis. I worked primarily with college-aged students in one-on-one and small-group settings (fewer than four students), helping them develop problem-solving strategies, improve conceptual understanding, and prepare for exams.

In addition, I completed CofC’s Tutor Advancement Program (TAP), a seven-week training program focused on evidence-based tutoring practices. Through this program, I learned and applied effective tutoring strategies grounded in educational research, including active learning techniques, metacognitive skill development, and adapting instruction to individual student needs.
