"Hello! My name is Yekaterina! I was born and raised in Soviet Union, where I studied piano since I was 5 years old. I graduated from a 7-year program Music school with honors, and got admitted to Semey College of Fine Arts, from which I graduated with a BACHELOR’s degree in PIANO PERFORMANCE, and a minor in PEDAGOGY. I continued my education by taking classes in the university of Cape Town, South Africa, under the guidance of a renown British pianist Graham Fitch, and most recently studying Jazz piano and improvisation under the guidance of Jose Gonzalez in Costa Rica. To enhance further my pedagogy skills, I undertook Psychology courses, and got a professional diploma in CHILD PSYCHOLOGY. In the past I won several piano competitions, and in present time I am an active performing pianist, with regular concert appearances and ongoing artistic projects, combining my pianist career with my passion for teaching.

I have been teaching for over 20 years, and I love sharing my knowledge with my students. I consider myself an EXPERT IN ONLINE TEACHING. I have a professionally set up studio with 2 cameras for online lessons. I teach all ages and levels, and I adjust to individual needs of every student. I can help you with learning how to read music, proper posture and hand position, music theory and harmony, piano performance, piano technique, improvisation, composing, practicing skills, structuring your practice, etc. I am equally comfortable teaching classes in English, Spanish and Russian, and I have extensive experience teaching special needs children.
