I currently work on Carnival Cruise ships as a piano/vocal entertainer, performing rock, pop, soul, country, and musical theater requests in a sing-along atmosphere. I'm a performer, songwriter, composer, director, and general lover of music. I studied classical and jazz piano from a young age, and in my teen years started writing original songs, singing and playing guitar. After graduating from Mills College with a BA in Music Performance, I explored folk singing in Bulgaria as a Fulbright scholar. I sang professionally with Kitka Women's Vocal Ensemble (Oakland, CA) and directed the group, composing and arranging music for the ensemble. In the spring of 2024, I completed an MFA degree in music at the California Institute of the Arts, with a hybrid Performer-Composer specialization. I’m particularly interested in music as a method of collective liberation and community building.
