"I hold a degree in Language Arts / Humanities from Brazil, with a licentiate to teach both Portuguese and English. Throughout my 17+ years of experience, I’ve worked across different areas involving the Portuguese language, always with a deep passion for teaching and communication.

For 12 years, I worked as a Portuguese proofreader in advertising agencies, focusing on grammar, style, and message clarity for brands and campaigns. At the same time, I built a solid freelance career reviewing academic texts such as essays, theses, and dissertations for university students and professionals.

After moving to the U.S. five years ago, I remained active in the field by continuing to support my former clients in Brazil remotely. I also receive academic papers from students who value my expertise and native understanding of Portuguese. These experiences helped me stay connected to the language and adapt my work to different formats and learning contexts.

In Brazil, I also had the opportunity to teach Portuguese to refugees through a Catholic Church program. The project aimed to help immigrants adapt to Brazilian society through language immersion and cultural awareness. It was a rewarding experience that reinforced my belief in the power of language as a bridge between people and cultures.
