"My name is Logan and I am excited to work with you as a history tutor! I have a lifelong passion for the subject, with hopes of using that passion to teach others of history's ever-unraveling tapestry. I am a proud native to Middle Tennessee, having earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees at Middle Tennessee State University. This university's prestigious history department not only helped me earn a good education but also gave me various opportunities to apply my education.

As an undergraduate, I had the privilege as becoming a Supplemental Instruction Leader. For two years in this role, I was paired with undergraduate professors of U.S. history, modern U.S. history, and Tennessee history to compile notes for each class, tutor students in the course individually, and lead group study sessions. Once I earned my Bachelor's, I moved on to MTSU's Student-Athlete Enhancement Center. I worked there for three years as a academic mentor and humanities tutor, in which I mentored both local and international students. In doing so, I oversaw and assisted in student-athletes' academic progress, provided individual tutoring sessions, proofread assignments, and instructed in writing and historical critical thinking. In addition to this position, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant while earning my Master's. In this position, I assisted multiple undergraduate history professors (early and modern U.S.) in grading student assignments, assist and lead group and individual review sessions, serve as a mediator between professors and students, and take over instructions for classes when necessary.

Across all this experience I have built over the course of the last 5 years, I have developed a particular skill for individual tutoring. Writing remains both a personal passion as well as my greatest area of effective assistance. I have tutored and mentored hundreds of students over the years--and I am just getting started!
