"I enjoy working with young elementary children who need extra support learning the basic skills of reading, writing, math and science. I believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience that inspires children to become lifelong learners. To increase a child’s desire to learn, I provide fun activities that relate to the child's interest or daily life that supports academic development. All children learn differently and at different rates. To meet individual learning styles I provide assorted activities that include games, worksheets and hands-on experiences. My lessons are designed to meet and exceed Common Core State Standards.

Self esteem and emotional development are very important in a child's ability to achieve academic success. To support this, I give each child my fullest attention and provide positive and helpful feed back during each session.

I have over twenty years of experience working with children in educational environments. This includes providing presentations to Early Childhood Educators, working with CCP students and serving as a Committee Member of the WCC Early Childhood Professional Advisory Board.
