"Last month, I graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with Bachelors in Geosciences and a minor in French. At Princeton, I've taken many math courses, including calculus I-III, linear algebra, and statistics / probability. I also have experience with programming in Python, R, and Java. Furthermore, I've taken courses in advanced French language and style, French history, and the phonetics of the French language, and I've lived in France for a month. I've also taken introductory / intermediate French, so I'm happy to tutor students in all levels of French. I took a year of German at Princeton, and I worked in Germany for 2 months last summer, so I am also happy to tutor students in German up to the intermediate level. I can also tutor American history, English, music (piano and introductory music theory). and SAT/ACT prep.

For my major, I took courses in ocean physics (ocean gyres, ocean circulation, ocean-atmospheric heat fluxes), atmospheric dynamics (atmospheric circulation, convection, modes of interannual variability such as El Nino Southern Oscillation, etc.) If anyone is taking college-level courses or has a general interest in these areas, I am happy to teach these topics as well!

I have experience explaining concepts from my calculus classes to peers and working through problems with them, as well as tutoring high school chemistry informally. These experiences of helping my peers, and other instances when I asked for help from peers, teachers, and professors have taught me the importance of not only finding someone who knows a subject well, but finding someone who can explain that subject clearly. I've felt lost or out of my depth in a lecture before, and I know how frustrating that can be.
