"Hi there! Welcome to my page. My name is Zhudi P. I graduated from Princeton University in 2023 with a B.A. in International Relations and Public Policy (magna cum laude, 3.7 GPA). I currently work as a post-bac researcher at Cleveland Clinic, where my research focuses on cancer biology, specifically inherited mutations in germline osteosarcoma. I am applying to MD/PhD programs and aspire to work as a physician scientist in global health and pediatric cancer. My tutoring specialties are in essay writing, reading, literature, sociology, data science, SAT, and pre-med.
I first started tutoring elementary and middle school students in reading, writing, and math while I was in high school, and have continued tutoring since then because of my passion for teaching and education. In college, I worked as a TA in Data Analysis and Visualization courses, as an English, Literature, and College Essay Tutor for Thinker's Academy, and also as a mentor for low-income and first generation students at Princeton. After college, I worked as a policy fellow at United World College, an international boarding high school in New Mexico. I ran two extracurricular classes, one called Partners in Health, and one called Wicked Problems. In these courses, I taught junior and senior high school students from all around the world how to conduct research, write project grants, and how to think critically about some of the world's biggest social issues, such as poverty, healthcare access, and education inequality.
In my experience working at a high school, I realized that I found a lot of fulfillment as a teacher, guiding and inspiring my students to form their own opinions, think for themselves, and find their own perspectives. As a tutor, I want to teach my students not just mastery of the content at hand, but HOW to learn and HOW to think and problem-solve." less...
