As a student, I’ve often found that my favorite classes weren’t necessarily those directly tied to my major. Rather, the classes I loved were the ones taught by passionate teachers, ones who inspired creative problem-solving and deep thinking. Now, I aim to bring that same energy to my own teaching, helping students not only master the material but also develop a genuine love for the subject they seek to learn.
My strong academic background—including earning an A+ in Organic Chemistry (with a letter of commendation from my professor) and an A in Physics at Princeton—equips me to tutor in STEM subjects with depth and clarity. Over the past few years, I’ve also gained extensive teaching experience as a Chemistry and Physics TA at Groton School, where I held tri-weekly office hours for AP Chemistry and AP Physics students.
Beyond formal TA roles, I’ve been a peer tutor throughout high school and college, tutoring in small groups and one-on-one, where I learned to adapt my approach to each person’s unique learning style. No matter the teaching position, I’ve always sought to emphasize active problem-solving and thinking rather than rote memorization. Above all, I want the student to come away with, if not a love for the subject, at least an understanding of how it works and why it’s important." less...
