"As a native English speaker, I understand the process of language acquisition. I have mastered the skill of encouraging an English thinking student to think in Spanish. My unique approach demystifies the language by breaking the acquisition process into simple 1 hour lessons, catered to the needs of the student.

My specialty is working with adults whose goal is to become conversational. Most of my lessons are, therefore, centered around teaching my students how to produce verbal conversations in the target language. I specialize in vocabulary growth, accent and pronunciation work, and verbal processing. I work extensively with these students to strengthen their speaking and listening skills, leaning heavily on educational psychology to tailor my teaching to the needs of the adult learner.

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Literature from Spelman College. I have 8 years of professional experience tutoring and teaching, having matriculated through the state of Georgia’s teaching certification program.
