"I'm a longtime undergrad and grad communications instructor at DePaul University and Columbia College Chicago. I've developed communications courses and helped mold students into professionals who have gone on to great careers in journalism, public relations, advertising, social media and other communications fields and management.

I entered teaching because of my real-world experience and coaching professionals. I'm multilingual (EN, DE, FR) communications professional with diverse, high-profile, journalism, public relations and corporate communications experience.

I continue to work for what was once the world's largest news gathering organization, the Associated Press. (Google: Matt Carlson, Associated Press, Chicago) I've also worked for what was once the world's largest public relations agency, then called Burson-Marsteller (now Burson) and other PR firms such as Edelman and Golin. I’ve supported world-class brands and organizations.
