"I was an adjunct teacher for over twenty years at colleges, art centers, and recreation depts in over sixty five cities. I gave clinics and workshops two to three times a years at each location. Topics included "How to play Popular piano using the chord system, How to play Blues Piano and Introduction to Improvisation. In addition I've offered private lessons lessons since 1989 in Jazz, Popular Piano, and improvisation.

As an artist I have played hundreds of retirement homes, resorts, concerts, weddings, parties, special events. and for seven years as a pianist at the Portland Int. Airport. Additionally I've worked as a musical director and composer for five different theatrical dance companies, as well as an off broadway musical.

I believe what sets me apart as a tutor is my holistic approach to teaching. I emphasis drawing out students creativity, not just learning notes.
