"I am a recently retired middle school teacher with 10 years of experience teaching reading (advanced, on-level, and remedial). I am also a United States Air Force veteran that served during the Gulf War campaign and was honorably discharged in 1992. I enjoy teaching because of the personal challenges and the rewards that come with it when students succeed. Because of the fact that I taught remedial reading at an inner-city school with disadvantaged kids is a testament to the great amount of patience that I have.

As a professional, I have always taken education very seriously and my former colleagues would certainly agree with me. I have taught Reading at the 6-8 grade levels for 10 years and have consistently reached the testing goals set forth by the district every year.

I scored a 98 on the ASVAB in order to qualify for entry into the Air Force. I have also passed the series 6, 7, and 63 exams on the first try.
