"A graduate of Iowa schools (Cedar Falls Public HS, SCI, UNI) I studied as well at Universities of Cincinnati, Illinois, and elsewhere before earning my doctorate of Carnegie-Mellon. Authoring numerous books including over 30 on the English language, grammar, writing, and interpreting literature, I continue to write and publish, when not teaching.

I have taught students as young as 4, and as old as 89, with excellent results. I have taught English as a foreign language and worked at helping all students to think critically, investigate and produce a publishable piece. This is my life when I am not playing with my four dogs, tending my garden, are planting and caring for flowers or working in my modest vineyard.

I have written and taught all aspects of the English language: grammar, literature, reading, vocabulary, and the powers of critical thinking both in the USA, Peru, and Europe: in universities (Universidad Cesar Vallejo, Universidad Senor Sipan; University of San Diego [CA], Mauna Olu College, etc.], governments (Ministerio Turismo y Comercio; Banco Continental, Backus, etc.), and businesses (Sike, Merke, etc.).
