"My name is Matt, a licensed educator with 20 years of experience teaching both Spanish and English, currently serving as Spanish/ESL Instructor, and ESL Department Chair, at Georgetown Prep. After having graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where I majored in Spanish and Sociology and minored in Latin American Studies, I began my professional language teaching career in 1995. For many years, I also alternated spending my summers either toward my Master's degree in Spanish from Middlebury College, which offers one of the most renowned language programs in the nation, and teaching ESL to international students studying at the university level. During the last decade, I have also had the pleasure of leading students on trips and exchanges in Spain, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, and Mexico. When I'm not teaching, you can find me exploring the neighborhood with my seven year-old Havanese, cheering on the Red Sox from Spring Training to the World Series, or taking road trips with friends all up and down the East Coast.

My teaching style is clear and energetic, and I am confident in my ability to push students to achieve great things, while offering a lot of support along the way. Furthermore, my students describe me as easy to relate to, since outside of class we talk about everything from sports to music to life itself.
