"I’m Ashley, and I’m a University of Kansas graduate and professional math instructor! I’m new to Wyzant, but I have over 7 years of experience instructing K-12 students at a math tutoring center and through independent tutoring sessions, ranging from elementary school math and pre-algebra to high school Algebra 1/2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, and ACT/SAT test preparation.

I also have a background in actuarial science and have passed the SOA Probability (calculus-based probability, univariate/multivariate distributions) and Financial Mathematics (interest theory, annuity/loan/bond valuation) exams, and I’d love to additionally help with these topics!

Working with students of all ages has honed my ability to quickly adapt to a student’s learning style – whether it’s through guided questioning, visual aids, real-world examples, or a more algebraic approach.
